Boeing wants state to boost training, trim labor costs

"We don't want to step backward," said Linda Lanham, executive director of the Aerospace Futures Alliance. ... Lanham said her group plans to work closely with a legislative task force this year to push for a statewide aerospace training program. "We're not meeting the skills the industry needs," Lanham said. "They step up to the plate when there's a heavy demand but there's no consistency."
