Stimulus Check: Job stimulus funds flow to King County
According to the work force council, up to 40 percent of the funding will be used to cover tuition for workers wanting re-training. The council will look to allocate as much of the funding as possible to high-demand programs such as health care, information technology and manufacturing.

House Committee OKs temporary sales tax bill
People concerned about cuts in education also spoke their minds Tuesday morning, delivering about 10,000 signatures to legislators.
South Seattle Community College student Bedria Abdullahi skipped classes today to deliver her message, with the goal of getting a better job in the future.
"Working a minimum wage job for the rest of my life is not what I want for me or my children," she said.
