Head Start to benefit from stimulus

The Edmonds Community College Snohomish County Head Start and Early Head Start program will receive $302,560 in federal stimulus funds toward program improvements and a cost-of-living allowance, U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee announced last week.

Local pessimists will see the Boeing Co.'s purchase of a 787 parts plant in South Carolina as a sure sign the company plans to start moving its airplane production out of Puget Sound.
