Education Sec. Duncan pitches community colleges

He told educators and lawmakers on Friday just how important community colleges are to building a better economy.

The federal government is spending unprecedented amounts of money for higher education, Duncan added. House Bill 3221, which passed Thursday in the U.S. House of Representatives, would provide an additional $12 billion for community colleges.
