Going Green
At Grays Harbor College, instructor Todd Bates is just now seeing some of his 40 students ready to graduate from the college’s first forestry program. Some of the students are so-called dislocated timber industry workers seeking to transition into new jobs in a more sustainable part of the business. “There’s a big influx of students into forestry schools around the country,” Bates said.

Questkids creates clothing that cares
Nguyen returned to school to finish his fashion business degree at Shoreline Community College. Shortly after, he broke his collarbone in a snowboarding accident.
