Yankees draft [Columbia Basin College’s] Pearson
Thurston graduate Tym Pearson was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 41st round of the Major League Baseball draft last week. Pearson had a .307 batting average and was fifth on the team with 46 hits, including a team-record six triples, this season for Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Wash.
